WHAT IS OBESITY?

Obesity is a disease.

Obesity is determined by a combination of BMI (Body Mass Index), Body Fat Percentage and Waist Circumference.

  • BMI: Over 30 is considered obese
  • Body Fat Percentage:
    • Men: Over 25% is considered obese
    • Women: Over 32% is considered obese
  • Waist circumference:
    • Men: Over 40 inches or 102 centimeters
    • Women: Over 35 inches or 88 centimeters

WHAT CAUSES OBESITY?
